Evdokia Kyrkou
Evdokia Kyrkou was born in Cyprus. She studied Graphic Arts at the University Frederick in Cyprus and then took Photography courses at the School ESP in Athens. She has graduated from the School of Fine Arts in Athens (2005 – 2010) with a diploma in Painting. She has also taken courses in Engraving, Photography and Scenography.
She has presented her second solo exhibition entitled Overturn, at the Art Appel Gallery in Athens (2021). Her first solo exhibition was presented as part of “Window Project” at Gallery Penintaplinena in Cyprus (2013) and has taken part in many group exhibitions in Cyprus, Greece, Holland, Austria, Boulgaria, France, Albania and Italy among others: “FemiNest”, Center for Contemporary Art DIATOPOS, Cyprus (2023), “The road passes through”, Center for Contemporary Art DIATOPOS Art, Cyprus (2022), “WEAVING THE FUTURE IV”, Greek House Paris, France (2022), “Double Rule-Canone Doppio”, The Project Gallery, Athens and Palazzo RISO-Museo d’arte contemporanea, Palermo. Her installation “Is this the life we really want? Ι” was presented online on the webpage of Torrance Art Museum, U.S.A. (2021). She has participated at the group exhibition “The Salvation Plan”, which has been recorded in the award-winning documentary of the same title by Loukia Rikaki (2011). Her works are part of private and public collections. She lives and works in Athens.
